Q&A: Could I put an AM2 processor in a socket 939?

Question by Conor M: Could I put an AM2 processor in a socket 939?
O.K, I have a computer running on a AMD athlon 64 processor. I would like to upgrade it to an AM2. Acer, my manufacturer, told me it is possible, and that my socket is 939, but I can only find an AM2 processor on an AM2 socket, I can't find one anywhere on a 939!
